Chart notes
INTERCEPT was soon clear to set the pace on the inside while clear, then was kept a safe margin to the wire under mild urging to prove best. CUMBERLAND GAP tracked the early pace and made a three wide bid on the turn, kept on willingly to the wire but could not get to the winner, clearly second best. C C'S WARRIOR was rated early four to three wide, then advanced on the inside on the turn, swung out four wide for the drive but had no kick, bested rest. PECOS BILL lacked a rally while on the inside. LETORT tracked the early pace two wide, swung out five wide for the drive and was empty. FOR THE MOMENT chased the pace four wide and weakened.
