Chart notes
EXPENSIVE STYLE chased the leaders under mild encouragement early, went three to four wide on the turn and was asked strongly near the quarter pole, gained the lead just outside the eighth pole and drew clear under continued urging. MACHISMO broke out just a bit, moved forward inside under mild coaxing to take a narrow lead after the opening quarter mile, was pressured up the backstretch into the turn, drifted out to the two to three path leaving that bend, was overtaken near the furlong marker and outkicked but second best. ARCADIA CALLS had the early lead before MACHISMO took over along the inside, pressed that one, floated three to four wide heading into upper stretch, lacked the needed late kick. BABY BOOMER was off about a length slow then steadied slightly at the start when losing a clear path, was encouraged along up the backstretch, moved out from two to four wide on the turn, swung five to six deep turning for home, failed to rally. MOON LAUNCH failed to threaten racing mostly four to six wide throughout.
