Chart notes
IN HONOR OF ARTIE eased off the leaders and tucked in heading into the first turn, went three to four wide on that bend, began to advance four wide on the far turn, struck a narrow lead past the quarter-pole, drew clear under urging. KING RAMOS settled outside runners four wide early, edged closer four then three wide on the far turn, made a mild bid about the quarter pole, was no match for the winner but second best. HYPE MAN settled inside on or just off the rail early, moved out on the far turn to be four wide coming to the quarter pole, came out further into upper stretch and continued to drift out a bit while offering no extra but securing show. NIP OF BOURBON raced inside a rival but in the three path early while well off the leader, moved nearer the rail into the far turn, failed to rally. MR. EINSTEIN shifted in from four to two wide on the first turn racing far back, continued to trail three to four wide into the far turn, passed rivals while shifting six wide into upper stretch but failed to threaten. DECEIVER switched well off the inside racing three to four deep early and off the leaders, moved out further going five wide on the far turn and seven wide into upper stretch, was never near enough to threaten. SUNNY SAINT sped clear early and extended the margin racing well off the inside through the first turn and up the backstretch, continued in the two to four path and started to weaken, being overtaken about the quarter pole and fading thereafter.
