Chart notes
IMA BLING CAT within striking distance along the inside up the backstretch, raced in the second flight through the turn while remaining inside, steered out three wide turning for home, took command past the furlong marker and drove clear. CAPTAIN DON away in good order, showed the way up the backstretch between foes, dueled through most of the turn, saved ground into the lane, could not match the winner late, saved the place. MACHO ROCCO broke alertly, with the pace outside, dueled turn off the inside and outside the runner up, two path into the lane, outkicked for the runner up. J. E.'S HANDMEDOWN in some traffic with a half mile remaining along the inside, saved ground into the lane, steered out a bit and finished up evenly. FIVE O ONE back off the pace while outside, four wide into the turn, improved position slightly through the lane while not a serious threat. LEO DEL REO forwardly placed early inside, fell back into the turn, floated out four wide by the winner turning for home, came up empty for the stretch run. SMARTY GRIMES in mid pack early, failed to respond in the drive. DESTINEDTOBEASTAR last away, trailed throughout in showing little.
