Chart notes
WATER PATROL tracked the early leader down the backstretch while racing just to outside of Extreme Lyra, challenged through the far turn and proved best to get up under strong handlilng. XTREME LYRA showed good early speed, raced off the inside in the stretch and finished second best. THETRASHMANSCOMING was slow early, moved up along the inside around the far turn and raced along for third. LITTLE JOHN was unhurried early, moved up while racing two to three wide in the stretch. CAROUSE failed to respond. PANIC BUTTON raced four wide into the upper stretch and never was a factor. HYPER DRIVE failed to sustain a bid.
