Chart notes
PEACE OF EKATI pressed BUENISIMO from outside early, challenged midway on the far turn, battled inside MORNING STRIDE entering the stretch, and would not let that rival get by through a long, hard drive. MORNING STRIDE was strung out three to four wide throughout, reached even terms outside PEACE OF EKATI turning for home, could not get by and remained clear for the place. BUENISIMO was nursed along on a short lead for six furlongs, yielded to the top two finishers entering the stretch, and ran on late to hold the show spot. GO MIKE hugged the rail throughout, had room to come on through inside the leaders at the top of the lane, but did not have enough. DUROCHER trailed in range to the stretch, and lacked the needed closing response. THIS RACE WAS HAND TIMED.
