Chart notes
CAPTAIN CHAZZ showed good early speed to set the pace, responded when roused turning for home, dug in gamely in the stretch run, drifted out a bit in front of SCOTCH ROCK'S in deep stretch and held on determinedly. FEARLESS FLY raced three or four wide off the pace, bid four wide at the quarter pole, rallied outside in the stretch, dug in gamely in the final furlong and earned the place spot. SCOTCH ROCK'S raced three wide off the pace, bid three wide at the quarter pole, dueled between rivals through the lane and steadied behind the winner in deep stretch. FULL SEND was off slowly, raced off the pace, came three wide into the lane and gained mildly to best the others. TEQUILA JR raced off the pace, came three wide into the lane and failed to threaten. NAVY PIER raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn and had no rally. FIFTY CENTS raced two wide off the pace, then chased two wide and tired. PETER G. FOX was outrun. SIT DOWN GRANDPA bobbled at the break, tracked on the inside, chased and gave way. A Jockey's Objection by the rider of SCOTCH ROCK'S against the top two finishers was dismissed.
