Chart notes
JAKE THE GREAT was away in good order to duel for the lead with HELLO HANDSOME from the inside, vied with that rival through a prolonged drive and gamely prevailed. HELLO HANDSOME broke sharply to dispute the early fractions with the winner from between foes, vied with that rival into deep stretch and just missed. TALKIN MALICE raced five-wide through the first turn, pressed the pace while racing four-wide and gave way after going three-quarters. STORMING WARRIOR settled off the leaders early, ,moved three-wide through the second turn and lacked the needed closing response. EMPIRE WICKET lagged early, raced four-wide through the second turn and was not a factor. JUST LIKE FRED vied for the lead from the inside for opening quarter and weakened.
