Chart notes
SEATTLE BOLD took command of the early pace and set moderate fractions through the second turn, felt pressure from the runner-up in mid-stretch, turned that foe away and edged clear in the end. BLACK CASPIAN (IRE) was forwardly placed while three wide, gained ground along the second turn, continued that bid into the stretch, was repelled by SEATTLE BOLD inside of the final furlong and held for second in the end. LOAFERS BOY was unhurried in the early stages while saving ground, was steered five wide along the second turn, swung widest into the drive, made a good late rally to challenge for the place and was a clear third over the rest. OF GOOD REPORT stalked the pace from the midflight while saving ground and did not offer a final bid in the stretch run. J T'S WATCH settled just off of the early pace, improved position two wide on the second turn and weakened in the drive. VANTAGE POINT was four wide on the first turn, stalked the pace five wide into the backstretch run, continued that wide trip while five wide on the far turn and gave way in the stretch run. GOVENOR'S PARTY was allowed to settle, saved ground while toward the rear through the second turn and did not mount a late rally. STRUT TO THE WIRE attended to the pace, kept pressure on SEATTLE BOLD into the second turn and faded in the stretch. BRAZENLY settled off of the pace, was three wide on the second turn, lost position into the drive and was not persevered with in the final stages.
