Chart notes
COALINGA ROAD got brushed from inside at the start, stalked off the rail then three wide through the turn, challenged in upper stretch and put a head in front at the eighth pole, led through the final sixteenths and held over the runner-up. RAGING WATERS broke a step slow, tracked in the two path into the turn, angled three wide leaving the turn, tipped out in the lane, rallied widest and kept gaining to the wire. STIR THE POT sped clear and showed the way up the backstretch, led two wide through the turn, lost command at the eighth pole and stayed on well inside the top pair for third. THIRSTY ALWAYS broke out and brushed the winner, hustled early and chased the lone leader on the inside, cut the corner into the stretch and failed to produce a bid. AREA CODE chased outside rivals early on, rounded the turn four wide while dropping back and tired in the lane.
