Chart notes
JOEY'S VALENTINE moved to a clear lead shortly after the start, made his own pace throughout and widened some under mild urging. P R WHY NOT saved ground and moved nearest the winner into the lane but could not close the gap. LITTLE BITOTHUNDER was back off the pace two and three wide, moved up through the far turn but could not threaten the top pair. MR. BIG SHOT chased the winner's pace two to three wide and weakened to lose position late. SING CHARMER SING was angled to the outside early and was never threatened four and five wide. V. R. FRIENDLYGARY failed to mount a bid four wide. CHIEF TY HE followed the early leaders three wide and tired.
