Chart notes
BERNALINHO broke a bit awkwardly and brushed CANYON CREST at the start, recovered to sit just off of the early pace, mounted a three wide bid into the lane, could not completely shake free of BIG CITY BANE in the final sixteenth but made a good late push to prevail. BIG CITY BANE was sent after breaking alertly and set moderate fractions through the second turn, came under pressure nearing the furlong marker, stayed in range of the winner in the final sixteenth but was outfinished in the end while besting the rest. KALINE stalked the pace outside of rivals, advanced four wide on the far turn, was outkicked in the drive but kept on to be a clear third. JEDI KNIGHT attended to the pace from a two wide path, vied for the lead inside of the furlong marker and weakened in the final stages. PURR CAT settled off of the pace while saving ground and was not a threat. CANYON CREST was brushed at the start by the winner, lacked early speed, saved ground to the far turn and did not mount a late rally.
