Chart notes
MUNDACIOUS was unhurried early, was saving ground on the backstretch into the far turn to rally four wide in the stretch drive and was up at the wire to prevail. OPTIMAL TRIP settled two wide on the backstretch, then made a bid from the inside on the far turn, gained the short lead but was caught in deep stretch. AIR FORCE ANGEL dueled on the backstretch from the inside, was in a hard drive on the far turn, but gave way in late stretch. WHITAKER was unhurried early, then moved out four wide to bid on the far turn and was closing willingly in the end. WEST TEXAS RAIN raced four wide on the first turn, jumped shadow entering the backstretch, then continued to stalk the leader, made a three wide bid on the far turn but was no threat. BRENTLEY (GB) had the early lead on the first turn, then dueled two wide on the backstretch, was in a long drive, but faltered in the stretch drive. TEXAS TRILOGY settled along the rail on the backstretch, made a bid on the far turn but was no factor. HAMMERSCHMIDT settled while three wide and failed to menace. CRAZY RIDGE stalked the pace while three wide, then continued to menace on the far turn was used up and tired.
