LUCYLOU WHO was hustled along to set a pressured early pace, dug in to the challenge of CHEROKEE CASTLE at the five sixteenths pole, contested at a close disadvantage two deep on the turn but dug in from the head of the stretch to regain the edge in the final yards. The latter pressured the pace inside and took a slim lead leaving the five sixteenths pole, contested the edge nearest the rail on the turn, dug in under steady encouragement leaving the turn but was caught in late yards. COUSIN WINNIE gave chase, raced in the three path of the turn and finished well. DENALI D'ORO chased, raced off the rail on the turn and finished evenly. STROLLING THROUGH pressured the pace, dropped back between horses at the quarter pole, raced near the rail on the turn then weakened. GOT ANY gave chase then weakened at the rail on the turn. TIZ EVAN'S HONEY was unprepared for the start, broke in the air and was rank in the early strides. This race was hand timed.
