Chart notes
HIGHWAY BOUND vied for the early lead three wide, took over entering the backstretch to set the pace while clear, drew out on the turn and drew off in the drive while being ridden out to prove much the best, ridden out. MR HOOVER was four wide into the first turn, then settled in the back and dropped down to the inside, then advanced on the inside on the turn, eased out leaving the quarter pole, came four wide into the drive and rallied well for the place. NORTHERN THUNDER was reserved early, then advanced two wide on the turn, but needed more in the lane, outfinished for place award. COOL COMEDIAN was allowed to settle early, advanced three wide on the turn but flattened out in the drive. CHARGING LION was settled early on the inside and lacked a rally. KATHERN'S JOY failed to respond. BETTER BOOGIE vied for the early lead on the inside, then stalked the winner on the backstretch and tired.
