Chart notes
GROWL TIGER, pulling against restraint inside foes prompting the pace in the opening stages, moved to gain the lead leaving the half mile marker, held sway on a comfortable advantage racing into the turn, forged well clear under right handed pressure racing through the stretch and was taken in hand late while widening to the end. MONAASIB, off slowly, was settled along the inside in early, saved ground on the turn gaining position and continued with interest inside foes to prevail for the place honors. THE BEST DISTANCE switched off the inside racing through the backstretch tracking off the first flight, lost some position nearing the lane, angled to the rail entering the stretch and continued with interest to improve position while prevailing for a share. LIFE CHANGER tracked off the first flight racing four wide through the backstretch into the turn and lacked the needed closing bid. WELD, urged between foes pursuing the pacesetter into the turn, gave way into the lane. FIRSTCADETE settled outside foes in early stages and failed to menace thereafter. BLACK V. K. dropped out early. FORWARD MOTION, prominent three wide in the opening stages, gave way between foes in that path after a half.
