Chart notes

XMAS SURPRISE got bumped between rivals and pinched back at the start, raced off the pace between foes nearing the turn, steadied momentarily past the three-eighths pole then continued on in the two path, came three wide into the stretch, steered out in the lane and drove clear. RED DIAMOND got brushed in the beginning, settled inside, avoided trouble on the turn, tipped three wide in upper stretch and went between rivals, then finished well to earn the place honors. PAID INFORMANT bumped leaving the gate, took a bad step crossing surfaces early, checked hard and altered in to the two path on the turn, angled wide and closed fast to gain the show. EQUILOVE (IRE) stalked the dueling pair up the backstretch outside a rival, came in and bumped WOODBINE WAY at the three-eighths pole, continued to give chase off the rail to the stretch, bid three deep with a furlong left to run but faltered in deep stretch. NU PI LAMBDA traveled in mid-pack early on, had to check hard and altered out past the three-eighths pole, came four wide into the lane and kept on through the final furlong. CONGRATULATED broke in and bumped rival, went up to duel for command from inside, battled to the stretch, then weakened in the final sixteenth. STRESSED broke inward, dueled for command from outside into and around the turn, vied between rivals past the eighth pole and weakened. WOODBINE WAY brushed with inner rival at the start, stalked the top pair from inside alongside a rival, got bumped and impeded by EQUILOVE (IRE) entering the turn, forcing the rider to check hard, moved off the rail while dropping back around the tur and coasted through the lane. KALON stumbled crossing surfaces early, traveled three deep off the pace, had to check hard and altered around rival past the three-eighths pole, traveled five wide into the stretch and was not persevered with. FOLLOWING AN INQUIRY, THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED EQUILOVE (IRE) FROM FOURTH TO LAST FOR SHIFTING IN AND IMPEDING WOODBINE WAY AT THE THREE-EIGHTHS POLE, WHICH THEN CAUSED A CHAIN REACTION BETWEEN SEVERAL RUNNERS,
