NATIVE HAWK broke readily to gain terms with the pacesetter, attended that rival's pace between foes racing into the turn, shifted out while being prompted to challenge racing past midstretch but continued with a steady late response to go clear late under firm encouragement. FORTUNATE FRIENDS, forwardly placed three wide stalking the leaders into the turn, shifted out under pressure racing past midstretch but continued willingly to edge a rival for the place honors on the wire. BERHANU was urged setting the pace on a narrow advantage racing a bit off the rail into the turn, dueled for command into the stretch and yielded to the winner late while just missing for second. CODETOWIN settled out of striking distance tracking the first flight into the turn, was prompted to gain position between foes entering upper stretch but shortened stride leaving midstretch. IRISH VALOR angled to the inside to track just off the pacesetter racing into the bend and faded into upper stretch. CANDY CRUSHEM was settled along the inside on the backstretch and dropped out early. CREEKMORE WAS SCRATCHED AFTER THE POST PARADE, NECESSITATING CALCULATION OF A CONSOLATION DAILY DOUBLE.
