Chart notes
DANCING DANA climbed early crossing surfaces, was closest in pursuit into and around the turn, took aim two wide into the lane gained the lead in upper stretch, cleared past the eighth pole and held safely. FOUNDER'S DAY sat off the pace, went two wide into the turn, lost the whip at the three-eighths pole, got floated out to the four path at the five-sixteenths pole, angled back into the three path late on the turn, steered out widest in the lane and finished well and bested the rest. ROSES AND CANDY broke a step slow in the beginning, settled along the inside, angled out on the turn, came three wide into the stretch, chased within striking distance through the final furlong but finished evenly late. WESTWARD BREEZE broke a bit slow, trailed on the inside under urging through the turn, tipped out in the lane and never threatened. GRITTY GIRL sped clear, crossed over to the inside, saved ground to the stretch, lost the lead in upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong.
