Chart notes
AMERICAN RULE showed speed on the outside, moved clear near the nine-sixteenths, extended the advantage in the two path at the five-sixteenths, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, was given two pops of a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop into the final furlong and proved best under strong urging. KUMAR was hustled from the start, showed speed on the inside of two foes, dropped just off the pace near the nine-sixteenths, chased inside around the turn, was driven three wide into the stretch, pursued the winner to the wire and was second best. BOURBON BAY pressed the early pace between horses, dropped back just inside the three-quarter pole, chased four wide around the turn, dropped in some into upper stretch and weakened while able to get the show. LOST IN ROME settled on the outside, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths, went five then six wide on the turn and failed to rally. ANYTHING PAZIBLE jostled with a rival early, settled on the outside, was urged five wide around the turn and came up empty. JOYCEE HAZ PIZZAZ jostled with a foe early, dropped well behind the rest of the field, went around the turn in the three path, came six wide into the stretch then moved further out and failed to threaten. YANKEE DIVISION was hustled from the gate, jostled with foes on both sides early then steadied while in tight, was rated off the pace, came under urging before the nine-sixteenths, chased three wide around the turn and capitulated.
