Chart notes
JOE bumped a rival at the start, was forwardly-positioned three wide, took the lead early on the far turn, moved clear into upper stretch, was headed briefly about the sixteenth pole but dug in gamely to prevail. MR JEFFERSON bumped with the inner foe at the start, tucked in three wide into the first turn, moved out from three to four wide commencing a rally late on the far turn, drifted in a bit in upper- to mid-stretch, struck a narrow lead about the sixteenth pole while engaging in a duel but was outfinished. SHAKE EM LOOSE exchanged a solid bump at the start, was forwardly-positioned two wide into the first turn, eased back off the leaders to stalk in behind, moved to the rail about the quarter pole and improved position inside. SMARTEN UP broke outwardly bumping a rival, stalked four wide early, advanced on the far turn moving out a bit and drifting further to be six wide coming out of that bend and within striking distance but could not sustain the effort. SECRET ALLIANCE was bumped at the start, pressed the early pace outside four wide, moved in three wide and in contention on the far turn, weakened in the drive. SOUTH STREET was bumped from both sides at the start, angled in two deep heading to the first turn, moved nearer the leaders up the backstretch, asked for a bit more about the seven-sixteenths but dropped back some, came out three wide nearing the quarter pole, failed to rally. NONEEDTOWORRY was bumped into a rival at the start, raced mostly four to five wide and was empty in the stretch. BALTIMORE BULLEIT exchanged a solid bump at the start, saved ground through the first turn, came out three wide nearing the quarter pole, failed to menace. VINE JET brushed the gate but set the early pace inside facing pressure, was done about the seven-sixteenths and faded.
