Chart notes
NOBALLSTWOSTRIKES stalked from the two and three paths the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced close two deep on the far turn, took the nod into the stretch and dug in under steady encouragement to draw clear later yards. HAPPY YEARS rounded the first turn about the five path, started a bid leaving the five sixteenths pole, ran in the five path of the far turn, bore out under a left handed drive toward the head of the lane, but finished well to take second the final yards. BRIGHT DAWN rated a slim lead inside, came under pressure toward the three eighths pole, was met at the rail into the lane, continued close through the upper stretch then weakened leaving the sixteenth pole. MASTER THIS saved ground racing well back on the first turn, bid leaving the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn about the four path and passed tiring rivals in an even finish. STRONG LIL KOKORO saved ground, picked up the chase leaving the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn at the rail then flattened the final furlong. FROGGY THE GREMLIN raced with the early pace two deep, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, his rider lost his whip somewhere on the far turn, then weakened into the stretch. CATFISH rated close to the early pace in the three and four paths, bid toward the three eighths pole then faded in the four path of the far turn. JAXJAXXORJACKS was not a factor.
