Chart notes
RAMBLIN' MAN was forwardly placed to lay up close early, raced four wide to five wide through the upper stretch, dug in late and just got up under strong handling. ANNIE'S BOY was quick to begin to set the early pace from the inside, raced off the inside in the lane and finished gamely to the wire to just miss. HEY PILGRIM stalked the early pace, raced near the inside around the far turn through the stretch and kept on to the wire. CAUCUS RULES was forwardly placed early on, took up sharply near the three eighths pole and had not enough in the drive. Jockey of Caucus Rules claimed objection against the winner for interference near the three eighths pole and stewards ruled no change. BALI STAR was slow early, saved ground and had no late response.
