Chart notes
BLUE WILDCAT pressed the early pace through the turn, inched ahead to come on even terms with TROPICANA GIRL nearing the furlong marker, battled with that foe through the final stages and gamely prevailed in a blanket finish. TIZ A TIGER broke out at the start, chased the pace outside of rivals on the turn, mounted a four wide rally into the stretch, closed well in the final stages and was just nipped on the wire for the win, while getting the nod for second. TROPICANA GIRL was away in good order, showed good early speed through the turn while being pressed by the winner, met the bid of that foe leaving the furlong marker, battled through the final stages and was tagged on the wire for the win and just edged for place. LION'S LAIR crowded TIZ A TIGER a bit at the start, tracked the pace between rivals on the turn and lacked a late kick in the drive. CONFIDENCE BUILDER chased the pace from an inside position, lost ground off of the turn and lacked a late rally. TEXAS CHARM was away a bit slowly, lacked early speed to the turn and was not a factor.
