Chart notes
EUCHARIST stumbled at the start then was bumped in the hindquarters, showed speed on the outside then chased the pace, went around the turn in the four path, gained to make a bid at the five-sixteenths, took the lead outside the quarter-pole, responded well in upper stretch, inched clear into the final furlong and held under steady urging. ZAEVION was urged along on the outside, went four wide around the turn, came six wide into upper stretch, gained into the final furlong and finished willingly for the place. MR. PETE showed speed between foes then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, was ridden along between foes passing the five-sixteenths, fought with the winner in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. JOYCEE HAZ PIZZAZ stumbled badly at the start and was off slow, raced towards the rear under urging, went four then five wide around the turn, came seven wide into upper stretch and gained some but failed to impact. HEALY'S HOPE angled in while showing no speed, saved ground through the turn, came off the rail in upper stretch and finished with late energy to just miss the superfecta. MUSICAL AMERICA was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied in the two path on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths under urging, lost the advantage outside the quarter-pole and tired. SPEEDING KID broke a bit slow then bumped the hindquarters of a foe and dropped back, moved up into fourth position, shifted from three to five wide while roused on the turn and came up empty.
