Chart notes
CALIFORNIA SWING tucked in first turn to saved some ground, settled in the run up the backstretch, closer 2nd turn, moved outside, late bid, led, drifted at wire, nod. PROMISING SHOES lacked speed, continued back while toward the inside far turn, advanced, swung five wide turning for home, late bid outside the winner, floated out past wire, missed. CYPRIANO closest to the dueling leaders for six furlongs off the inside, advanced and took over three path exiting the final turn, showed the way past the furlong marker with is entrymate moving to challenged, faltered when headed by that one late. STOCK DEAL broke back, moved up to mid pack, went one paced three wide throughout. PRAETORIAN dueled up front while racing in the two path, weakened in the drive. MAJOR KONG broke back, raced five wide into the first turn, worked way to the two path second turn, failed to muster a rally. IKE broke alertly, showed the way past the wire the first time, dueled middle half, gave way late in the final turn.
