Chart notes
TIZ THE REASON took the lead at the half mile pole and set a pressured pace, rounded the turn near the rail and held on under steady encouragement. SHERWOOD LADY pressured the early pace but dropped back approaching the quarter pole, rounded the turn about the three path and recovered territory to make late gains. CHIEFS KINGDOM settled off the pace, bid nearing the quarter pole, rounded the turn in the three path and finished well outside. DISTORTED SPLENDOR pressured the pace inside, dropped back approaching the five sixteenths pole, raced near the rail on the turn then flattened the final sixteenth. COUNTRY MAGIC broke in to make contact with LIL MISS FIBER then gave chase, rounded the turn about the three path and proved empty in the lane. The latter was bumped leaving the gate, gave chase and raced off the rail on the turn and showed little in the lane.
