Chart notes
SPEAK OF THE DEVIL (FR) was slow out of the gates and last away, trailed comfortably in the two path, quickened into the far turn, shifted outside of foes at the three furlong pole, offered a sharp blitz in the five path to quickly circle rivals around the far turn, loomed large turning for home to bid at the quarter pole, assumed command from her stable-mate approaching the furlong grounds, and drew off through the late stages while well in hand and with more to give. IN ITALIAN (GB) established a clear advantage in the early stages, maintained a loose lead while well in hand and staying in the three path around both turns, but met her stable-mate's bold bid entering the lane, battled with that foe through upper stretch, but proved no match at the furlong grounds, and safely held place thereafter. WAKANAKA (IRE) broke a step slowly, settled off of the pace in the three path, trailed in the four path into the far turn, commenced a gain outside of foes turning for home, then stayed on to secure show in the final furlong. LADY SPEIGHTSPEARE stalked outside of the leader while in the four path, but was outmoved by an outer rival at the five sixteenths pole, and gave way through the lane. FLOWER POINT tracked in midpack in the two path, backed off of the pace in the three path around the far turn, and made little impact thereafter. ABSCOND stalked along the inside while a bit off of the rail, but faded entering the lane, and was discovered to have bled.
