Chart notes
NOT TO BE DENIED rated on the front end from inside, moved clear when asked leaving the bend and maintained control under steady urging in the stretch. LORI ATTACK vied for the early lead from outside, angled in beside NOT TO BE DENIED into the turn, could not stay with that one when set down for the drive but was easily second best. MARIA'S GIFT in contention early from outside, lost ground widest taking the bend, gradually drifted out upper stretch, kept a straight path the last furlong and edged ahead for third. FRIEND prominent just inside MARIA'S GIFT on the backstretch, moved to the inside midway on the turn, fanned out some for the stretch run, drew clear for third but did not have enough left to keep her position in the waning yards. BURNING BUSH was urged along to be prominent between foes on the backstretch, did not keep up into the bend, angled out three wide for a clear path on the turn then flattened out between horses in the lane.
