Chart notes
TWIRLING ROSES showed early speed, dropped back to chase the leaders up what remained of the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, kicked clear in upper stretch and held his margin to the wire under a drive. LITTLE KANSAS raced off the pace on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, began to improve position from the two path coming around the turn, swung wide entering the stretch and gained ground on the outside in the lane. MEDAL OF FACT dueled for the lead on the inside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the two path around the turn, drifted wide into the stretch and weakened late. HALO HUNTER dueled on the outside in the early going and around the turn, was carried slightly wide into the stretch and tired in the final furlong. MIDNIGHT BLUE NOTE raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, gained some ground in upper stretch and flattened out from there.
