Chart notes
BEVERLY PARK exchanged contact with PROTA leaving the gate then dueled that one to take over at the rail into the opening turn, came under pressure leaving the three eighths pole, contested the edge through the far turn, drew clear past the eighth pole and was steadily handled to the wire. The latter exchanged contact with Beverly Park leaving the gate, dueled through the front stretch then stalked two deep on the opening turn, challenged at the three eighths pole, contested the far turn at a close disadvantage, dropped back leaving the eighth pole but held on for second. KING NEKIA settled off the pace three wide the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and rounded the far turn off the rail, eased out leaving the turn and finished well to gain on the runner-up. FIRE DOWN BELOW saved early ground then eased outward into the backstretch, bid nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn about the three path and showed little further. AWESOME BUZZ raced off the pace two deep while between horses on the first turn, picked up the chase past the seven sixteenths pole but weakened at the rail on the far turn.
