Chart notes
DRINKSONTHEBEACH stalked the pace for a half, rallied three wide to make the lead in upper stretch, drifted under left handed urging to the five path and just lasted. PRACTICAL MAN never far back, closed willingly in the six path through the stretch and just missed. TONKAWA SPRINGS pressed the pace three then two wide through the turn, made the lead briefly then was outfinished. C C'S CLEAR CREEK had good early speed then faded. DUKE OF FENWAY was a forward factor along the rail early, in tight at the seven sixteenths pole causing his rider to check and dropped out of it. SMUDGE THE CAT away alertly, set a pressured pace along the inside to the top of the stretch then weakened. NAMURACHI broke outward hitting the gate and was never close.
