Chart notes
SWEET WHEAT was forwardly placed tracking the early leader, took over the lead at the head of the lane and kept to task under steady urging. SHIPS ON FIRE chased the top trio into the turn, launched a three wide bid in the upper stretch and got up late for place. AMERICAN POSSE raced three wide in pursuit of the top pair around the turn, sustained bid in the lane and held show. FREDDY J raced off the early pace, hustled up three to four wide in the lane and improved deep stretch. FRANKLY EPIC sped to the lead at the start, showed the way around the turn, got collared by the winner in the upper stretch and faded in the final sixteneth. SAW THE SUNRISE lacked speed and raced in the back, was ridden along two wide into the upper stretch and failed to rally. EVIL KNIEVEL chased inside into the turn, saved ground into the lane and gave way.
