Chart notes
ARZAK set the pace while racing two wide, then drew clear on the turn while racing on the inside, came off the turn two wide and well clear by the furlong marker, then was kept to left handed crop urging to prove best while clear, sharp. TAP IT TO WIN was rated early towards the inside, then remained saving ground on the turn, then closed well on the inside to be clearly second best. SOUPER STONEHENGE was rated early and made a four wide bid nearing the quarter pole, but hung late while saving the show award. STRIKER was allowed to settle early, advanced two wide on the turn and swung out four wide for the drive, angled out by the furlong marker and had a mild late gain but needed more kick. SILENT POET stalked the pace three wide and weakened. LENNY K was outrun early, checked by the three sixteenth and was no threat. SECRET RESERVE was well placed early on the inside and weakened.
