Chart notes
RAINBOW GOLD was bumped at the start, stalked close up two wide, waited for room behind horses at the quarter pole, rallied five wide into the stretch, dueled with STEPPIN SHEP and drew clear under urging. STEPPIN SHEP dueled three wide for the lead, dueled on the turn, led into the lane, dug in gamely in the stretch run and came up second best. OCTAGON dueled inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in gamely on the rail and held on for the show spot. A LOT OF HEAT dueled between rivals for the lead, dueled on the turn, weakened and just missed for third. TAKING ENERGY broke a step slow, raced two wide off the pace, made a four wide run on the turn, came six wide into the lane and flattened out. EARS TO ME raced off the pace inside and did not factor. DA CRIMSON PASS was bumped at the start, raced close up inside, waited for room on the turn, came through on the rail and then gave way.
