Chart notes
STEELS ALL IN showed good early speed from the inside and held gamely in the drive to be clear under strong encouragement. CANONIZE raced four wide near the seven eighths pole, stalked the early pace, moved up through the far turn, raced three to four wide in the lane and finished second best. HALLOWED RIVER was forced six wide through the first turn, stalked the pace from the outside, raced four to five wide through the upper stretch and had no final winning bid. ALL ABLAZE raced five wide around the first turn, settled to the middle of the pack, raced near the inside at the quarter pole and had no late rally. CHARING CROSS was unhurried in the early stages, raced four wide near the three sixteenths pole and had no response. CAPTAIN COMEBACK dropped back early on, raced four to five wide through the lane and never threatened. SMOKEYMOUNTAINRAIN raced a bit rank, bore out in the early stages, pressed the early lead down the backstretch and tired.
