Chart notes
SHANGHAI CANDY saved ground off the early pace, closed the gap from the five eighths pole, bid leaving the half mile pole, rounded the far turn about the three path then dug in the final furlong to get up the final yards. HEROIC DEED took the lead midway on the opening turn and rated the pace inside, came under pressure nearing the quarter pole, widened at the rail on the far turn but was caught flattening stride the final yards. REGHITTO settled off the pace inside, gave chase from the half mile pole, ran at the rail on the far turn but showed little in the lane. MOTIVATED SPEAKER raced off the pace in the two and three paths, gave chase leaving the three eighths pole then faded at the rail on the far turn. PALACE KING steadied early, settled off the rail and was not a factor. KAZU stalked two deep, gave chase from the half mile pole then gave way into the far turn. This race was hand timed.
