Chart notes
SCHOOL DANCE settled off the contested early pace, rallied swiftly four wide midway on the far turn, battled outside IKO IKO through the final furlong and prevailed in the closing strides. IKO IKO vied outside GINGER SPARKLE from the outset, got the best of that dispute after six furlongs, fought gamely inside SCHOOL DANCE through the lane and just missed. MARIA'S REVENGE saved ground to the far turn, moved back inside after going around a spent GINGER SPARKLE approaching the stretch, rallied mildly through an ample opening and was much best of the remainder. TIZ IMPRESSIVE eyed the dueling leaders up the backstretch, bid briefly three wide between horses after six furlongs, then gave way into the lane. SEMIRAMIS was a step slow at the start, and never factored. GINGER SPARKLE vied inside IKO IKO to midway on the far turn, and gave way.
