Chart notes
HAMMER LANE vied early inside NEPOMUCENO and LOVE MINISTER, gave those two the slip around the turn going comfortably, was roused to expand the margin through upper stretch and coasted in under mild late urging. SMOKIN BOW raced in midpack around the turn three to four wide, and rallied outside to go clear of the rest. KENRIC was a step slow to begin, saved ground advancing into upper stretch, but could not sustain the rally. JACKSON'S WEBB passed tired horses. EMPIRE BUILDER failed to menace two wide. TAP GOLD raced four wide, and never reached contention. LOVE MINISTER contested the early pace outside rivals, was under a drive to stay close on the turn, and faltered in the stretch on his left lead. NORTH CAUCASUS was never prominent. NEPOMUCENO argued the early pace between horses, and had nothing left soon after completing a half-mile. KALINBA broke two lengths slow, and was always far back. THIS RACE WAS HAND TIMED.
