Chart notes
ENGLISH TAVERN , patiently rated inside horses down the backstretch, raced in the two path between foes on the far turn, was lightly steadied in traffic leaving the far turn, found room along the inner rail in the stretch, led late and drove clear. KENTUCKY PHAROAH quickly made the early lead, moved over to the inner rail entering the first turn, set the pace, was well off the rail in the stretch and just missed in a game effort. B DETERMINED lacked speed, swung to the five path in upper stretch and rallied nicely outside horses. U S CONSTITUTION chased the pace, raced in the two path around the far turn and weakened in the stretch. HEALING , a forward factor three wide outside horses down the backstretch and around the far turn, failed to rally. JOHNG lacked speed, raced inside horses for six furlongs, swung to the five path in upper stretch and passed tired horses. BALLAGH ROCKS , four deep the far turn, weakened. PRETTY GOOD YEAR , no factor, swung to the six path in upper stretch. BROKER'S REWARD , along the inner down the backstretch and on the far turn, was checked lacking room approaching the stretch. AMERICAN D'ORO , eager to run early, hugged the inner rail on the far turn and was checked in narrow quarters inside U S CONSTITUTION approaching the stretch. I AM THAT I AM , outrun, was five deep leaving the far turn. An objection by the rider of AMERICAN D'ORO against U S CONSTITUION for alleged interference on the far turn was not allowed.
