Chart notes

SHOFAR forced the pace outside, took over midway on the final turn, repelled another challenge in midstretch and edged off. JOHNNYPUMP settled off the pace inside, bid on the final turn, angled out in the stretch but could not get by the winner. SLEW TANG CLAN dropped far behind, moved wide in the stretch and closed well. DISTRACTANDATTACK set a pressured pace inside, yielded to the winner midway on the final turn and tired. CHARLIES SAFARI dropped back along the inside and lacked a rally. FEARLESS FLY trailed for three quarters then caught a fading opponent. FRENCH TOAST was well placed outside the dueling pacesetters then stopped in the stretch.
