Chart notes
COLLECTING STARS pressed the early pace, near the two path, took a narrow lead near the quarter pole and held gamely in the drive to be clear late under steady handling. CAMEO SHORES stalked the pace, raced four wide near the three sixteenths pole and finished second best. NOUMEA dropped back early, moved up three to four wide in the stretch run and showed good late interest. RED DAHLIA stalked the pace, raced four wide through the upper stretch and had no response. MISS KITNESS vied for the early lead from the inside and gave way the final eighth of a mile. SMASHING SUCCESS settled off the early going and failed to respond.
