Chart notes
FRANKS DEHERE set the pace racing off the rail, drew off when asked. PHOENIX FIRE shifted out early settling at at the rear, went two to three wide, gained the place. DESERT DANGER shifted in early, raced on or just off the rail on the first turn, moved out three to four wide for the far turn and ran on. EL CHUMELITO was in tight three wide between rivals early on the first turn, moved out up the backstretch and advanced outside rivals four to five wide, evened out in the stretch. MOUNTAIN SPIRIT settled inside, saved ground but had no late kick in the drive. MUSKYMAN pressed the winner four wide, gave way. OL' DRUNK DADDY raced four wide early and failed to menace.
