Chart notes
FUNICULI was well rated early, dropped down to the inside on the turn and made a inside move leaving the turn and drew clear in the furlong grounds to prove best under a drive. SOUPER RIVER stalked the early pace and was two wide on the turn, tipped out four wide leaving the turn and ran on getting the bob for the place award. FULL SCREEN set the early pace towards the inside, eased off the inside on the turn and came three wide into the lane, dug in gamely but could not go with the winner in the final furlong, lost place award on the wire. PERFECT CRIME was bumped at the start, reserved early, came four to five wide into the lane, was advancing in traffic by the furlong marker, angled out nearing the sixteenth marker and had a late rally. LONG POND tracked the early pace four wide, then was three wide on the turn and came four wide into the lane while in contention, lugged in under right handed crop urging in the furlong grounds, then was corrected and was empty. JUSTIN'S WAY tracked the pace three wide early, then was two wide entering the drive and faded. BLAST IN THE SNOW stalked the pace three wide and came four wide into the drive and was empty in the drive. CUPID'S DUDE was bumped at the start, then was reserved early, came six wide into the lane and then had to check around the sixteenth marker and had no rally. SAILOR'S PASSION lacked a rally. H C HOLIDAY was allowed to settle early on the inside and dropped back. SMALL TALK was bumped at the start and was not a threat. The Stewards posted an INQUIRY concerning the running in the stretch, after reviewing the replays they disqualified LONG POND from fifth and placed eighth, there was also jockey on number nine CUPID'S DUDE claimed foul against the jockey on number four PERFECT CRIME for interference in the stretch, after review the Stewards did not allow that claim of foul.
