Chart notes
BOSSMAN JONES vied inside, eased back outside before half mile, faded on the final turn then came again through the stretch to prevail in a long drive. BE ONBOARD vied briefly, moved clear before half a mile, widened on the final turn and held on gamely while unable to hold off the winner. CALIFORNIA FLIRT pursued the pacesetters, was asked at the three eighths but proved empty in the stretch. HOTPOT broke sluggishly and dropped far behind and lacked a response. STRAWBERRY CONE reluctant loading prior to the start, rushed to contention then gave way readily. THRILLS AND CHILLS dropped back early and raced far behind throughout.
