Chart notes
T BONES TRICK, off slowly, was urged to gain a contending position switching out three wide racing through the first turn, advanced in that path to press the issue on the far turn, then edged clear through the stretch under firm encouragement. UNITED PATRIOT, pulling a bit along the inside tracking just off the leaders to the backstretch, swung out four wide racing into upper stretch and continued with interest to prevail for the place honors. CANDY COVE, urged to the lead along the inside racing to the first turn, dictated the pace on a narrow margin to the far turn, resisted the winner's bid racing into upper stretch but proved no match in the last furlong. DYNAMIC RULER, urged prompting the pacesetter in the opening half, dueled for command between foes on the far turn but came up empty in the drive. LOOKIN FOR EIGHT settled last to the backstretch and failed to menace.
