AEQUOR chased close up two wide, bid two wide on the turn, took over, drifted wide and led into the stretch, then dueled with HARD WEST and gamely prevailed over that rival. HARD WEST raced off the early pace, bid three wide on the turn, drifted wide into the stretch, dueled with AEQUOR past midstretch, dug in gamely and came up second best. MI TRES POR CIENTO (CHI) tracked on the inside, chased the leaders on the turn, angled out in the stretch, closed belatedly and got up at the wire for third. POINTER away alertly to set the pace, dueled briefly on the turn, then chased inside and finished evenly.
