Chart notes
CLASSIC ESCAPE set the pace on the inside, dueled with NOT A POSTINO into the stretch, battled heads apart with that rival through the final furlong and narrowly prevailed at the wire. NOT A POSTINO chased two wide early, bid on the turn, dueled into the stretch, dug in gamely outside of the winner through the stretch run and just missed at the wire. WINE TIME steadied at the start, chased on the inside, rallied on the rail in the stretch run and was gaining on the top pair in the final yards. EL MIC TIESUN raced two wide off the pace and closed belatedly outside. MARSICO was reluctant loading, chased three wide, rallied four wide into the stretch and then weakened. LAREDO raced off the pace inside and did not factor. PESKY VALESKI chased two wide and faded.
