Chart notes
SHACKLEFORDS STORM pressured the pace inside, took the lead at the rail approaching the quarter pole and was steadily handled in the lane. WILLIE THE WHALE chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the four path and dug in the final furlong to take second nearing the wire. BARRY KARAFIN BETS set a pressured pace off the rail, was met approaching the quarter pole, continued close about the three path on the turn then nipped from second the final strides. SCOTTSDALE gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn two deep and ran evenly in the lane. UNNAMED SOLDIER chased inside, ran at the rail on the turn and ran evenly in the lane. WIZARD OF ODDS gave chase toward the inside, rounded the turn off the rail, steadied and altered course to the outside mid-stretch, but flattened stride. EPIC WEST chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the four path and showed little further. SOMERSET BAY chased, rounded the turn in the five path and showed little more.
