Chart notes
WONDER WHEEL tracked the main group from the four path around the turn, ranged up three wide turning for home, dueled with an inner BLACK FOREST through midstretch, and edged clear through the final sixteenth. BLACK FOREST pressed four wide early on, cleared inner foes into the turn before tucking to the two path passing the seven sixteenths pole, showed the way before meeting WONDER WHEEL's challenge in upper stretch, dueled gamely through midstretch, but was bested entering the final sixteenth, and yielded late. DIVINE GRACE prompted the pace three wide and from between horses, stalked after her outer counterpart went forward into the turn, engaged that rival from the outside turning for home as an outer WONDER WHEEL loomed a threat, but failed to keep pace with her comrades passing the quarter pole, clung to show from an outer pair in the late stages, and saved that position. SHEZA SHINING STAR vied two wide and between horses early on, chased an outer clearing rival into the turn, but was outmoved by a pair of foes around the turn, chased entering the lane, shifted out passing the quarter pole, and kept on between horses late to re-challenge for show, but came up short. SOUTHLAWN broke a step slowly, took the turn in the three to four path while off of the pace, came into the lane in the six path, but hung on his left lead, and lacked a rally while leaning in. SHE'S JERSEY TUFF trailed in the four path around the turn and never got involved. VICKI ROSE was fractious in the starting gate while awaiting other rivals to load, vied along the inside of a trio of foes early on, but went wrong at the seven sixteenths pole, eased around the turn before being pulled up in midstretch, and was vanned off.
